How do I get this software to recognize all my movies, and possibly TV shows? I'm on OS X El Capitan 10.11.3. It got most movies even some with incorrect titles, but it just won't process the others. What can I do to fix this? Thanks!

According to the data found in the source code, Movie Monkey supports the following formats:

'avi', 'divx', 'flv','mkv', 'mov', 'mp4', 'mpeg', 'mpg', 'swf', 'wmv', 'x264', 'xvid'

If you have files with extension other than the ones above, they won't be added to the database.

Also, install the latest version from the official website: http://getmoviemonkey.com/

Using my Canon EOS M to timelapse a drawing, but accidentally deleted some photos because shutter went off while trying to focus. I deleted said photos and now the files have a skipped image (ex, IMG175-IMG177) will the software still be able to make the video? Or so I have to install a bulk image renamer of some sort?

You can simply try creating the timelapse to see the output result. If there is an error, Movie Monkey should display it or stop the procedure from completing, else you'll see the export file as it should, even if some files are missing.

But if you encounter issues, then use a batch renamer and rename all the files then repeat the procedure and the software will have all the necessary files in order.

The product isn't scanning the files from the computer. After exiting the application, this throws an error that says : "error occurred. See the log file".

This is the log file :

Unhandled exception in thread started by 0x02E36DF0>
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "import_movies.pyc", line 129, in import_action
File "osd.pyc", line 94, in movie_list
TypeError: list indices must be integers, not str

Is there a way to fix this problem?

According to the product's official website, the developers are working to release a new version of Movie Maker, that will definitely be compatible with Windows 8. This is the only information that is released until this point. Regarding the error that you encounter, this might be present due to the incompatibility of the application with the OS that you are using. Until this point, there is nothing that you can do, beside the fact to wait for the new release. I suggest that you regularly visit the site mentioned above to find out when a release date is announced.
